Why it is made ? What has happened ?

  • In order to boost tourism in the state of Bihar, Bihar has built an amazing and boosting tourism factor that is 200-feet Glass Bridge.
  • The inauguration of the Glass Bridge is expected to be done next year 2021 in Rajgir, Nalanda district of Bihar.
  • Rajgir hills is surrounded by five hills named Ratnagiri, Vipalachal, Vaibhagiri, Songiri and Udaygiri.
  • It is also an important Buddhist, Hindu and Jain pilgrimage site.
  • The bridge will offer other adventures for the visitors who are more thrill.
  • Note: The total length of the glass bridge in Bihar is 85-feet and it is 6-feet wide, and it is situated at a height of 200-feet.

You can see the two ridges parallel to each other. The area around the ridges is covered with many other historical places. Rajgir Hills are also more important sites related to Budhism, Hinduism and   Jainism. 


  • The Bridge will give more boost to tourism in Bihar. 
  • This Bridge will allow 40 peoples to visit at a time.
  • It is stated that the Bridge is built on the line of 120-metre-high glass bridge in Hangzhou province of China. (The glass bridge of China is famous already you have seen many times on instagram or other social media platform.)
  • The Glass Bridge of China is much greater than the Glass Bridge of Rajgir, Bihar, India.
  • The Glass Bridge of China measures 430 metres (1,410 ft) in total length and 6 metres (20 ft) in width, and is suspended about 300 metres (980 ft) above the ground.
  • The bridge is path between two mountain cliffs in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in the northwest of Hunan province.
  • Nalanda district is already popular for its prime hotspot of tourism.
  • Other place famous in Rajgir is Nalanda University.
      •  Nalanda University, announced as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 
  • Jungle safari has been building to give more potential to tourists & the Glass Bridge will be part of the Nature Safari.
  • Ropeway is also there, while the Safari will take the tourists to explore dense forests, the Ropeway too have around 18 glass covered cabins.
